November is an exciting month fall is in the air, the holiday season is approaching, and the position of the sun shifts, sometimes helping us gain a new perspective. It’s the perfect time of year to give back and count your blessings, and At Your Service offers many amazing opportunities for CdM students to get involved in their community.
At Your Service (AYS), one of the five leadership clubs on campus, hosted “Giving Thanks” week November 13-17, in the spirit of Thanksgiving. The turkey logo symbolizes four important values that AYS strives to promote on campus- gratitude, involvement, volunteering, and an experience.
To go along with the spread of gratitude and involvement on campus, AYS also hosted a food drive from 7:15-7:45 Tuesday through Friday. All canned goods were dropped off in the pool and enclave parking lots. Donations that were received will go to Share Our Selves of Orange County- a non-profit organization that focuses on providing personalized care for the community.
November 17 is the last day to bring canned goods, so make sure to come early and drop off any extra cans you may have at home!
