To celebrate the day of Hollow’s eve, the students of CdM came in droves, dressed to the tee. There were demons, ghouls, vampires, and of course hillbillies. Students wore their very best for such an event, be it for extra credit or for the sake of tradition.
The ladies of the Senior Class came prepared as white trash, with tattoos, bandannas, flannel, and false pregnancies. CdM was further graced with the presence of Dog the Bounty Hunter, Octomom, Edward Cullen, and Popeye the Sailor Man amongst many others. Senior David Lin said on the topic of the costumes, “the kid that dressed up as a thing from Where the Wild Things Are was the coolest, by far. Or I think he was dressed up as one…”
During break Orchesis opened up ASB costume contest with a new dance, bringing large applause. ASB followed with their annual costume contest with Itune gift cards to the winners. The prizes were awarded to the scariest, most original, and honorable mention. The scariest was awarded to a student dressed as a deranged psychiatric patient, the most original to a Facebook profile, and the honorable mention to little red riding hood.
The students weren’t the only ones who dressed for the occasion. Many of the school faculty came in costume some as witches, trolls, or even gladiators. Even the Big Three: Principals Mr. Olgin and Mr. Bryan and Vice Principal Mr. Mcculloch, came as the Men In Black. However, the math department stole the show as the infamous π.
