The new and entertaining parody of the Twilight Saga, "Nightlight", has captured the attention of many anti-Twilight fans.

The new comedy about those vampire books.

“About three things I was absolutely certain. First, Edwart was most likely my soul mate, maybe. Second, there was a vampire part of him-which I assumed was wildly out of his control-that wanted me dead. And third, I unconditionally, irrevocably, impenetrably, heterogeneously, gynecologically, and disreputably wished he had kissed me.” Does this quote sound vaguely familiar? I’m sure it must for many readers of America, but maybe just a tad bit different. This quote is a from a new parody of the book Twilight called Nightlight.

It is true that everyone knows of the newly famed Twilight Saga written by Stephanie Meyer, but even thought it is extremely loved by many fans, there have been quite a few parodies composed by anti-Twilight lovers, such as TwiLite: A Parody and New Moan: The First Book in the Twishite Saga: A Parody by Stephfordy Mayo. The new book Nightlight is one of the most popular parodies of the Twilight Saga and brought on a new connection to Twilight haters towards the book series that they once thought they had wanted nothing to do with.

“When I first read the Twilight series I was obsessed, just like anyone else. But after a while, I became so tired of it that I began despising it with a passion. Now I am deeply amused by all of the parodies coming out about this over-dramatized series,” said freshman Noelle Gooding.

This book is about a pale and klutzy girl named Belle Goose who moves to Switchblade, Oregon and falls in love with the sparkly and mysterious vampire, Edwart Mullen. Edwart is a super hot computer nerd, saves Belle from a flying snowball, and (Oh no!) leaves his tater tots untouched at lunch! Opposing to these events in the parody, the original book conceives Edward Cullen as a hot vampire who doesn’t eat food in general, saves Bella Swan from a car that almost hits her, and is definitely not a computer nerd. But the plot of both stories are pretty much the same; they are both about a new girl that falls head over heals with a vampire and wants to be transformed into one of them.

“This holiday season, we had Secret Santa’s and since most everyone in my class knows of my hatred toward those vampire books, my “Santa” bought me a copy of the book Nightlight. It was hysterical and I could not stop laughing, so I had to put the book down many times. The Harvard Lampoon has turned my most dreaded nightmare into a comedy that would make anyone pee in their pants, like I did,” said freshman Heather Johnson.

As you can see, the Twilight Saga has found a way to capture the hearts of everyone, both haters and lovers, of the books. The parody Nightlight can be found in bookstores everywhere, along with many other hilarious parodies of this very popular series.
