Storms to Strike Again

Posted on 01 February 2010 by Melanie de Arakal

Just weeks after one of the worst storms in Orange County citizens prepare for storm number two. Though not as strong as its counterpart, the rain is expected to hit all week long and into the weekend.

Wednesday will start the beginning of the squall to hit Newport Beach. With early morning showers, followed by clouds all day long, it isn’t exactly the ideal weather for the second day of finals. The high is expected to be on 65 degrees with a low of 47 degrees.

Thursday is another cloudy day, but there is a less likely chance of rain. Random showers are predicted to popped up throughout the day, and the high is only going to be 63 degrees with a low of 49 degrees.

Friday, which is a no school day for Newport Mesa Unified School District, is going to be warmer than the days prior, however there is a definite chance of rain all day long. The high is expected to be 65 with a low of 51 degrees.

Saturday should be the worst of this coming storm, with a high percent chance of heavy rain and a low of 49 degrees. Sunday will show a bit of sunlight, but still small showers throughout the day. Unfortunately, for those readers who are more interested in the tornados that hit than the much needed rain, no tornado warning is expected this week.
