Want a fresh, unique trip? Looking to connect with your creative side? Then the Sundance Film Festival is the event for you. Each year, the film festival chooses 200 films out of 9,000 submissions. “More than a total of 50,000 people attend this memorable event each year,” according to the Sundance admissions. This well-known festival is famous for discovering independent directors of short films, documentaries, or dramas waiting to stake their claim to fame for their outstanding achievements.
“I went to the Festival last year and it was the most incredible experience of my life. Who doesn’t want to spend all week watching film after film? It was fantastic,” said an anonymous Newport Beach resident.
This year, Sundance made their presence known by making the Festival January 21-31 at the locations of Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance Utah. Not only do festival attenders see exquisite films, but they are also entertained by live music performances, panel discussions with film directors and writers, exclusive parties, and much more!
“I have been itching to attend this Festival ever since I found out about it! It sounds so fun,” senior Maddie Turner said.
Tickets are only running for individual days at as little as $15! Currently, judges are rating the films and awarding them with best picture, cinematography…etc. Below are the following films entered in this year’s 2010 competition:
