Thursday, January 14th CDM took the first steps into organizing a committee for Hurley’s Walk the Walk fashion show. Walk the Walk is Hurley’s annual fundraising fashion show in which high schools across the nation compete in their own divisions for a chance to win up to ten thousand dollars for their school. Students are split into video production, fashion design and producing committees to come up with their own unique designs based on Hurley’s upcoming collections. This year visual imagery teacher Ms. Brudnack and PAMA teacher Ms. Payne decided to spearhead exibiting CDM’s talent.

PAMA socialites juniors Chandler and Allegra Thaler were nominated to be in committee coordinators and senior boy fashion icon and artist Isle Anderson is scheduled to be in charge of non PAMA members.

“I’m really looking forward to getting all the clothes before they come on the market and getting  a chance to make them my own” comments senior Sarah Goodmanson.

“Next week we will be having our first meeting in which we organize the committees and get things organized and running” says junior Chandler. Payne comments that only committed and dedicated members will be given the chance to stay and participate, “we want the best and hardest work to go into this.”

The only heard controversy is getting ASB involved. PAMA members have commented that they want their light to shine and not hand over the project to the ASB, as they believe that ASB “takes over a lot of the stuff that they help with.” On the contrary senior Eileen disagrees, “ASB is good at what they do. The videos are always hilarious and everyone finds them entertaining, and the rallies are always a success. It’s not fair to discriminate a talented group just to let another group have all the glory. I think it’s best to combine both of the talents and let everyone get involved to have a stellar performance!”

The first official meeting is going to be held in Ms. Brudnacks room next Wednesday at 5:00PM. Come join and be part of the walk!
