Posted on 24 September 2009 by Paul Zubatov

In a match held Wednesday the 21st, the Corona del Mar Seaqueens lost to the formidable University High Trojans, the number one seated team in the league.  The Trojans out-shot the Seaqueens in a 199-215 (16 strokes) victory.

Senior Captain Amanda Johnson earned medalist for the CdM team by shooting an individual’s 37, just two strokes above the Trojan’s Ani Gulugian.

Despite the loss, the Seaqueens remain optimistic.  Johnson states,”despite them being the best team, I still think we played well, but clearly there is still room for improvement”.

Also yesterday, CdM’s Girls’ Junior Varsity Golf remained undefeated in their season by defeating Marina High School 225 to 248 (23 strokes) at Meadowlark Golf Course.

Both Jordan Dillion and Emily Turner medaled for the CdM team by shooting 44’s.
