Question of the week: What do you do to get in the Zone?
“Personally, I don’t need to get in the zone because I’m always in the zone” - Sophomore Sophia Reynolds
“I listen to energetic music” – Freshman Olivia Laws
“I eat as much food as I can” – Freshman Megan Hawkins
“I imagine myself on the court making perfect shots” – Freshman Meredith Davin
“I don’t know…I just have my ways” – Freshman Shayna Palitz
“I stay positive and get pumped up with our school cheer” – Freshman Melis Gunay
The Frosh/Soph team played their second match against Tesoro last Friday, winning 26-5, an even wider margin than before. The girls played with ease as they had already defeated the team, although they still maintained their stamina. “We annihilated”, commented Reynolds.
“My match was pretty amazing; we dominated”, said Sophomore Maddy Markley, who won all of her matches with her partner, Sofia Pardini.
Number 1 singles player Sophia Chen played exceptionally well in the match, defeating all of her opponents with strong, low hits. “She’s really good”, said teammate Elise Sadler.
Overall, the girls displayed a fantastic performance, with much improvement shown.
