If you are looking for a movie to raise your spirits and get you smiling, Sing is the one to see. The animated comedy is about an aspiring koala trying to keep his theater open and help others achieve their dreams of becoming stars.
To keep his theater from being taken by the bank, he comes up with the idea of having a singing competition where everyone can come and audition and the best of the best will compete for the cash prize. The group of singers chosen to perform in his show come from all different walks of life and all have different reasons for being there. Despite their differences, the group comes together to help put on the show of their life and overcome the obstacles that stand in their way.
The many big name actors like Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johansson, and Seth MacFarlane add to the movie’s star power and up and coming actors like Taron Egerton, Leslie Jones, and Tori Kelly add to the already great cast to make it phenomenal.
Along with the great acting, the movie soundtrack is amazing. All of the actors are amazing singers and I couldn’t help but sit there in awe at the amount of talent. I didn’t know that some of these actors could sing as well so I was amazed at their voices.
Overall, I would give the movie nine out of ten stars. It was a heart-warming animated comedy with cute animals that could sing, and it doesn’t get much better than that. The only thing that I would say I didn’t like about the movie was that some of the humor was a little cheesy but it’s not a big deal. I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely watch it again.
